Steam's terms generally don't ban disposable addresses outright, but they do prohibit creating multiple accounts to bypass bans or rate limits. Use a temporary address for legitimate privacy reasons — read their ToS for the specifics that apply to you.

The inbox is hard-deleted on expiry, so you can't receive password-reset emails sent to that address afterwards. If you need long-term account access, copy the password down before the timer ends — or use a real email for accounts you care about.

Steam typically sends a sign-in link email (subject: "Confirm your email address for Steam"). Welcome and product update messages may follow — all of these land in your temporary inbox until the timer runs out.
